Traditas began with the vision of combining traditional family recipes with a modern twist. Founder & owner Leonard Krkuti dreamt of having a pizzeria with his family’s original recipes while adding a modern, new-school feel. Leo owes everything he knows today to his mentors Nick Krkuti & Rudi Krkuti, his father & uncle. Leo’s family has been in the business for 35+ years. His father Nick opened his first shop (Not Ray’s Pizza) in 1991, alongside his brother Rudi. The rest is history. Since then Nick & Rudi have expanded tremendously, throughout Brooklyn & NYC. Leo plans to carry the torch for years to come with the development of Traditas. Leo’s main goal is to have a cohesive brand that could become a house-hold name across the tri-state area and beyond. In May of 2022, Leo opened his first location in NYC at 83 Maiden Lane.
I owe it all to my father & uncle. I’m forever grateful they started their journey and took a chance when they did, It paved the way for me. I pay homage to their roots with our slogan, “Pizza with a Brooklyn accent!”.
